Karma to Burn
(spring 2014)
When we are born, we are tabula rasa. Then we start wanting to be part of something bigger so badly, that in the end we might find ourselves acting like real idiots. Being free of prejudices and doing what we actually believe in is so freeing, so why to copy specimen set by the others? I want to be myself and that means living deliberately.
lyrics
You’re forming your identity through the ancient symbols
As if being obscurant could book you a room in hotel Valhalla
Well...
I get it
since I know how it feels like to believe in a pile of shit
Now it is time
burn your uniform, you hypocrite
Now it is time
Tonight we’ve got karma to burn!
Now it is time
Throw away those flags, you hypocrite
Now it is time
Tonight we’ve got karma to burn!
Don’t be afraid of what you see
(Throw away those flags, you hypocrite)
At first it hurts but then you are free
(Tonight we’ve got karma to burn!)
"Is anybody out there?" – your voice returns in echoes
How lonely it can be, to dwell in empty halls made of fake gold
Instead of honoring the dead, live your life for those still alive
You would barely need a shell to hide, if you were open-minded
Now it is time
burn your uniform, you hypocrite
Now it is time
Tonight we’ve got karma to burn!
