about

Shiva World Dance Party
(Spring 2014)

Since my childhood I was always somehow into oriental philosophies. Great-conquering mantra which is part of this lyric helped me to get over a painful personal crisis. Everytime I hear somebody singing it, it helps me see how natural is the cycle of beginning and end of things. Anyway, it is so hard to accept it. I’m afraid to accept the end of things I love. This song is my attempt to deal with it. Let’s party on the tomb of the past.

lyrics

Go!
Every day, I face new challenges,
I’m just an ordinary man so I can’t always win
Each loss means new beginning
it took me while, but now I’m in peace

Nataraja, dance within me!

So we can start this party!
So we can start this party!

Om tryambakam yajamahe sugandhim pusti-vardhanam
Urvarukam-iva bandhanan mrtyormuksiya ma mrtat

Tonight, something dies in me
Time to celebrate
I’m in the streets

I gratefully raise my cup to the stars
Every time something burns inside me

Shiva World Dance Party!
Shiva World Dance Party!
Shiva World Dance Party!
Shiva World Dance Party!

I give up myself to divine trials
I can only accept all as it goes
Let’s just have a good time
Every time I die
All I pray for is to keep this on mind!

Let’s start this party!
